Two suspected swingers accused of blackmailing sexual partners pointed the finger at one another in Mineola Friday, each deflecting blame for their alleged scheme.
Police say Shawn Payne and Michael Largue met multiple individuals on an online "friend finder" Web site. According to police, the pair videotaped sexual encounters with at least one person from upstate New York and another from Garden City. Cops say Payne and Largue then used the tapes to blackmail their victims. Before a court conference, each suspect's lawyer accused the other of being the ringleader.
Police say they've seized about 100 hours of video footage and received calls from other potential victims.
