A South Farmingdale man was charged Friday for allegedly driving drunk and killing a Baldwin woman.
Bobby Sodhi, 37, pleaded not guilty to vehicular manslaughter, vehicular assault and two counts of drunk driving. Police say Sodhi crashed his SUV into a Saturn sedan, with two women inside, on North Broadway in Hicksville late Thursday night. According to police, 21-year-old Sarah Fitzsimons, of Baldwin, died in the collision. Her passenger is expected to survive. Sodhi refused a Breathalyzer test, but police say a court-ordered blood test revealed a blood alcohol content of .12, which is above the legal limit.
Sodhi is being held on $250,000 bond or $150,000 cash bail. His family and lawyer declined comment.
