Police are searching for the suspect who threw a plastic gasoline container near a home and then lit it on fire in Riverhead.

The incident happened on Doctors Path just before 9:30 p.m. Sunday night.

Shrubs and grass were burned, but the home suffered only some smoke damage.

Police say two people inside the home were not hurt.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
