The owner of a liquor store in Setauket says his surveillance cameras caught a thief in action Saturday.
The owner says the man stole a $1,700 bottle of Chateau Petrus wine from an aisle shelf in his store, Hamlet Liquors.
Police say the incident was reported at around 5:34 p.m.
The alleged thief is between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall, according to the store owner. He allegedly left with a female accomplice in a black Jeep Cherokee.
According to the video, the suspect put the bottle down his pants and walked out.
The store owner posted the video and pictures to Facebook to help find the suspect.
