A Hempstead man was arraigned today on charges of shooting a teen who was riding his bike in Uniondale.
Police say they arrested 22-year-old Manuel De Jesus Sosa Marquez after a monthlong investigation.
Police say that on Aug. 6, Marquez fired three shots from a 1995 Honda and left a 14-year-old paralyzed from his shoulders down.
The boy was riding his bike near Argyle Avenue and Davis Street.
Marquez pleaded not guilty to charges of second-degree attempted murder. His bail was set at $800,000 bond or $400,000 cash.
He is due back in court on Sept. 18.
