Suffolk police announced that it is setting new limits on in-person services due to the surging pandemic.
In a statement, Suffolk police say precincts will remain open but they are encouraging people not to visit unless critically necessary.
There's also limited public access to the lobby of the department's headquarters in Yaphank.
News 12 was told Nassau police are implementing similar measures.
