Officials from the Summer Youth Employment Program were at the Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club on Thursday urging teens to apply for remaining summer jobs.
Last year, the city-operated employment service helped nearly 9,000 teens get jobs in places such as banks and law and accounting firms. Once their summer jobs ended, 21 percent of the teens were offered paid internships from their employers.
Teens have until Friday afternoon to apply for a summer job.
