A special life-size statue was unveiled Tuesday in honor of the service dog that worked with former President George H.W. Bush.
Sully, the yellow lab retriever, was trained by America's VetDogs in Smithtown.
Sully served for Bush during the last six months of the former president's life.
"He loves to work," says Valerie Cramer, program manager for VetDogs. "He's on when he's needed but he will relax and just spend time. He was loyal and would often lie at the feet of President Bush as they were just relaxing, reading a book, or watching television."
The 4-year-old is now with the U.S. Navy working at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center outside Washington, D.C.
