Suffolk students surprised with scholarships from ROTC Army program

They will also be joining an Army Reserve unit’s monthly drills and annual training while attending college.

Two Suffolk high school seniors were surprised with huge scholarships that’ll make affording college a reality.
The Suffolk County Police Asian Jade Society awarded Kellia Wilson and Darren Dash the Minuteman Scholarship at a surprise ceremony Thursday.
Combined, they are getting over $350,000 in total to cover tuition and board under the ROTC Army program.
They will also be joining an Army Reserve unit’s monthly drills and annual training while attending college.
