3h agoTwo Suffolk high school seniors were surprised with huge scholarships that’ll make affording college a reality.
The Suffolk County Police Asian Jade Society awarded Kellia Wilson and Darren Dash the Minuteman Scholarship at a surprise ceremony Thursday.
Combined, they are getting over $350,000 in total to cover tuition and board under the ROTC Army program.
They will also be joining an Army Reserve unit’s monthly drills and annual training while attending college.
