Suffolk police officers rescue man from burning home in Shirley

When officers arrived at the home on Floyd Road just before 8 p.m. Sunday, the roof and second floor were on fire.

Two Suffolk police officers are being credited with saving a man in Shirley after they ran into a burning house.
When officers arrived at the home on Floyd Road just before 8 p.m. Sunday, the roof and second floor were on fire.
The officers -- Kyle Negrin and Harrison Dow -- were told there may be someone inside, and ran into the home.
The officers found and rescued a 51-year-old from the second floor. He was not injured.
Negrin was taken to a hospital for smoke inhalation.
