Suffolk County detectives are investigating an early Saturday shooting that happened in Downtown Huntington.

Investigators say it happened on Wall Street around 5 a.m.

Starbucks was one of the only businesses open that early. The manager told News 12 there were employees there at the time.

Down the street at Bare Naked Bakery, employee Katie Jaffie says it’s a disappointing start to the year.

"I've never felt unsafe here. It's always bustling. There's always a ton of people. I don't know how this could have happened," Jaffie said. "This has become such a regular part of our culture and what's going on today. It's really disappointing that it just gets swept under the rug. We don't even know about every case."

Police said there was no additional information as of Saturday night.
