2ds agoA 17-year-old was arrested and charged with DWI and criminal possession of a weapon after a traffic stop in Central Islip.
The male teen, who was not named, was observed by police speeding in an Acura on Wilson Boulevard at around 2:30 a.m.
Police determined that the teen was intoxicated and in possession of a loaded 9mm handgun.
He is expected to be arraigned in First District Court in Central Islip on Saturday.
