Suffolk police raced to a Dix Hills home Monday night where neighbors say a 2-year-old girl fell into her family's pool.
Police say a 911 caller reported that a toddler was unresponsive in an in-ground pool at 12 Kilmer Ave. around 7 p.m. The girl was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip in serious condition.
Neighbors tell News 12 that there are two little girls in the family that lives there.
One woman, who identified herself as Magda, says she heard loud shouting, went over to see what was wrong and saw part of the incident.
"The baby fell into the pool, and the dad brought her back," she says. "He was doing CPR."
An ambulance arrived within minutes, neighbors say.
