A Mastic Beach man accused of stabbing and killing his estranged wife was arraigned Sunday.Police say Jimmy Titus stabbed his wife, Lori, 47, multiple times as she was coming out of her boyfriend's home in Brentwood. The boyfriend heard her screams and tried to come to her aid. With the help of his landlord, police say the men were able to restrain Titus until help arrived, but Lori Titus died.The couple had a history of domestic violence, and according to police, Titus once threw a beer bottle in his wife's face. Police say she subsequently moved out and had an order of protection issued against her husband.Titus' family members appeared in court to support him. His daughter looked distraught as Titus was escorted away in handcuffs. He is being held without bail and is due back in court on Dec. 12.
