A Suffolk Girl Scout helped to organize an hour of appreciation for caregivers in Patchogue.
The event was held at the New York Cancer and Blood Specialists Center.
Samaya Syali, of Half Hollow Hills, organized the event.
Syali is going out for her Girl Scout Gold Award.
Caregivers at the event enjoyed food and took home a care basket.
Syali also created a website with resources for caregivers.
