Suffolk officials say DPW trucks are working on clearing up the snow and spreading salt and sand to treat slushy roads around the county.
Officials ask that residents stay off the road so crews can do their jobs.
With temps plummeting into Monday's morning hours, the snowfall was expected to freeze. Drivers were urged to clear off their cars before the arctic blast sets in.
