Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone provided his Thursday COVID-19 update, where he gave the county's newest figures and more information on property taxes and donations.
UPDATES:
- Bellone laments the Suffolk County Tax Act - An old law that he says is blocking people from seeing property tax relief. Calls it "archaic."
- About 960 new cases, 24,483 positive cases in total.
- Bellone: 'Leveling off' of cases -- decrease of 45 COVID-19 hospitalizations -- total of 1,585.
- First decrease in hospitalizations since beginning of week.
- ICU bed occupants decline by 25, intubations also down.
- 3,425 total beds in Suffolk -- 655 beds available, 112 ICU beds available.
