Residents may notice a small bump in their bills now that the Suffolk County Water Authority approved a $346 million budget for 2027.

Customers will pay just over $16 a year on average, a 2.81% total increase.

Officials say the funding will go toward advanced water treatment and infrastructure upgrades.

The new rates take effect June 1.
