Your favorite Long Island downtown could be in for a makeover.

Communities are now able to apply for a piece of $500,000 in grant funding from Suffolk County.

It's part of a revitalization project, and local governments can use the money to upgrade parking, sidewalks, lighting and cultural facilities.
