Suffolk cops rescue injured egret in West Babylon

The bird couldn’t walk or fly, and officers from Suffolk's 1st Precinct were able to grab it with a net.

Some of Suffolk's finest rescued an egret in West Babylon.
The injured egret was discovered on the front lawn of a home on 9th Street Monday night.
The bird couldn’t walk or fly, and officers from Suffolk's 1st Precinct were able to grab it with a net.
It's now being treated at an animal hospital.
News 12 has been told it will be returned to the wild when it's fully recovered.
