Nassau County police officers arrested a Suffolk cop Thursday for allegedly purchasing alcohol for minors.
Nassau police say 27-year-old Frank Santanello, a Suffolk police officer for less than five years, bought beer for two 15-year-olds and one 16-year-old. Investigators say the teens showed up to H. Frank Carey High School in Franklin Square visibly drunk, and questioning eventually led police to Santanello.
Suffolk police officials say Santanello's suspected actions have given the department a black eye. Santanello was charged with a misdemeanor and suspended without pay.
