Students and parents of Oqueneck Elementary School held a warm sendoff Thursday for their retiring principal.
Principal Jack Maniscalco is retiring following 11 years of service at the school.
"I love them, there's no better words to describe it," Maniscalco says. "I love these kids and I love these families, these teachers, also it's been an absolute honor."
Former students and their parents were also at the school to celebrate the principal's milestone.
Maniscalco had served in the U.S. Airforce before joining the school district over two decades ago.
