An animal lover saved the day when a curious critter found itself in a sticky situation.

Frankie Floridia, of Strong Island Animal Rescue, helped free a raccoon in Miller Place Thursday night after it got its head stuck in a peanut butter jar.

Floridia says to put lids back on jars when cleaning out recycling items to avoid incidents like this from happening.
