Nassau officials claim Coliseum operators owe $2M in unpaid rent, utilities
The operators of NYCB Live's Nassau Coliseum owe more than $2 million.
Nassau officials reportedly issued a notice of default to the company, threatening to terminate its arena lease if rent and utilities are not paid in two weeks.
The move comes three weeks after the Coliseum shut down indefinitely.
Billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov owns the company Onexim, which had been seeking investors to pick up the remaining $100 million of debt.
If the lease is terminated, county officials will need to find a new operator for the 14,500-seat venue.
