Mets' Marcus Stroman offers coaching to Florida-area baseball players
With the Major League Baseball season on hold, Mets pitcher Marcus Stroman is spending his time helping out baseball players in the Florida area.
Stroman sent out a tweet asking for teams in the Tampa area to send him information about their team, saying he may help them from the standpoint of a volunteer pitching/mental coach.
He sent out the invitation to not only youth players, but high school and college teams as well.
"I'm coming out to kick it, talk life, and teach y'all some sinkers and sliders. I'm excited for this. I have nothing but knowledge to spread to the youth!" Stroman tweeted.
The tweets have received a massive response, with the original tweet getting more than 8,000 likes and over 200 replies.
Stroman, who has posted several videos of him keeping his skills sharp, is getting set for his second season with the Mets, should the season begin.
