A local nursery is bringing smiles to health care heroes fighting back against COVID-19.
Borella Wholesale Nursery on Smithtown Boulevard in Nesconset teamed up with Suffolk Legislator Mario Mattera and dropped off 2,000 potted perennial Easter flowers to Stony Brook University nurses and doctors.
The flowers included lilies, daffodils and hyacinths. The nursery services over 200 churches on Long Island and is trying to spread joy through a "faith not fear" mantra.
