Curran: Hospital gowns needed for Nassau health care workers

As of Thursday, 20,140 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Nassau County. That is an increase of 1,592 cases.
Nassau County Executive Laura Curran said 633 residents have died of COVID-19.
Meanwhile, hospitalizations are at 2,353 COVID-related – a decrease of 16. A total of 232 patients were discharged.
"For the fourth day in a row, the number of discharges are larger than hospitalizations,” says Curran.
A total of 455 patients remain on ventilators – an increase of six.
Curran added that the county is waiting for a racial breakdown of county by county cases from the state.
Lastly, Nassau officials say hospitals are in urgent need of hospital gowns.
