Police say the principal of Brooklyn Leadership High School called 911 when he heard gunshots Thursday afternoon.

Police say the principal of Brooklyn Leadership High School called 911 when he heard gunshots Thursday afternoon.
Officers blocked off 'Star-Spangled' playground during the investigation. The NYPD says there were no injuries reported.
Detectives also checked nearby hospitals for potential victims. One student tells News 12 the school was under lockdown for an hour after the incident happened.
News 12 has reached out to the New York City Department of Education and has not heard back yet.
