Mourners were gathering to pay tribute this weekend to a Suffolk police officer who passed away.
Wake services were being held Saturday and Sunday for Officer Fadi Rafeh. The 38-year-old father of two died unexpectedly last weekend.
Officer Rafeh was most recently an investigator in the department's Crime Section.
Visitation was being held at Branch Funeral Home in Miller Place. Funeral services will be held Monday.
Suffolk police told drivers to expect road closures and delays in the area during the services. Lane closures were planned on Route 25A in Miller Place between Miller Place Road and North Country Road from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, and again Sunday between 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
Police say there will also be a road closure on Route 25A in Miller Place between Miller Place Road and North Country Road on Monday, Jan. 28, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Drivers were urged to take alternate routes.
A GoFundMe Page has been created for the officer's family.
