Long Islanders can expect scattered showers with a few storms that could have pockets of moderate to heavy rain tonight.
News 12 meteorologists say to be aware for some pockets of moderate to heavy rain that could cause flash flooding. The precipitation is expected to move in around 6 p.m. and continue on-and-off until the overnight hours.
Some areas may see additional street flooding thanks in part to the rain that moved through Thursday morning.
On Friday, morning clouds will give way to sunny skies for most of the rest of the day. Highs will be around the mid-70s.
