The snowstorm is impacting air travelers in the region.

At MacArthur Airport, all flights in and out after 6 p.m. Thursday were canceled.

Many flights have been canceled at JFK, LaGuardia and Newark airports.

Port Authority officials tell News 12 they're ready for the storm and plan to stay on top of it. However, officials say to contact airlines before heading to the airport.

So far, things are running smooth on the rails. The Long Island Rail Road says things could change if Long Island sees 10-13 inches of snow. The higher snow totals could mean suspensions or "modified" service.
