Today will be a beautiful Spring day in the city filled with sunshine, milder temperatures in the 70s and a refreshing breeze. Due to the ongoing drought, low humidity, breezy conditions, and plenty of sunshine, there is a low risk for fire danger today. Avoid open flames and discard cigarette buds properly. Friday will be slightly cooler with highs in the low to mid 60s under a partly sunny sky. A stray evening shower is possible.

This weekend will be cooler with highs in the 50s. A slow-moving front will bring steady rain Saturday midday into early Sunday morning. Saturday will be a nasty day with rain, breezy conditions, and chilly temperatures. Close to an inch of rainfall is likely with any downpours. Wet roads, large puddles and low visibility will bring messy driving conditions Saturday afternoon and evening. The storm system exits Sunday morning with the second half of the day trending drier under a mostly cloudy sky.

As we turn the page into the first week of May, the weather pattern turns active with chances of beneficial rainfall starting on Tuesday into the end of next week. This will help current drought conditions. Stay tuned for updates.
