A winter weather advisory is in effect for all of Long Island from now until 1 p.m. Tuesday.

WHAT'S NEW: The first significant storm of the season will bring snow, a wintry mix and rain tonight through the first half of Tuesday.

WHAT'S NEXT: A few more rounds of wet weather move in after a dry March 1st (WED) with rain and a wintry mix coming along from Thursday to Sunday.

OVERNIGHT: STORM WATCH – Wintry mix and snow along with breezy to gusty winds. Feels Like: low 20s. Lows: low 30s.

TUESDAY: STORM WATCH (AM) – Snow changes to a wintry mix with rain to follow, then drier conditions by the afternoon with breezy winds. Highs: upper 30s to low 40s. Lows: upper 20s to low 30s.

WEDNESDAY: (MARCH 1st) – Mix of sun & clouds. Highs: mid 40s. Lows: upper 30s to low 40s.

THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy with scattered rain showers. Highs: low to mid 50s. Lows: low 30s.
