Snow develops late tonight, with conditions deteriorating after about mid-evening as steady snowfall moves in. The most impactful period looks to be overnight, when snow becomes widespread and accumulates efficiently.
By early Sunday morning, snow begins to taper from west to east, transitioning to lighter snow before ending altogether mid-morning.
Total snowfall is expected between 3-5 inches for much of the state, enough to cause slick roads and reduced visibility for early travel. Sunday turns sharply colder and windier behind the system, with blowing snow possible even after precipitation ends.
The rest of the week features dry but chilly conditions early, followed by a noticeable warm-up late week and another chance for mixed precipitation next weekend.

Sunday: Light snow lingers into the early morning, tapering off by mid-morning. Skies gradually clear, but colder air rushes in. Temperatures start near around 30, then fall into the mid-20s by afternoon. Gusty northwest winds make it feel much colder and could cause some blowing snow.
Monday: Mostly cloudy and brisk. Cold but dry, with highs in the upper 20s to low 30s.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny and cold. Highs range from the low to mid-30s.
Wednesday: Partly sunny and milder. Temperatures climb into the low to mid-40s.
