News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Sam Augeri says it will be sunny and warm on Tuesday before a chance for more storms on Wednesday.

• Tuesday is the pick of the week with sunshine and highs in the low 80s!

• Scattered showers and storms return late Wednesday.

• Cooler weather to end the week with the threat of storms Saturday. Sunday and Monday look like the better holiday weekend days.

FORECAST:

OVERNIGHT: Storms end early with partly cloudy skies. Patchy fog in the morning. Lows near 65 degrees with southwest winds 5 to 10 mph. Sunrise: 6:15 a.m.

TUESDAY: Sam's Pick of the Week. Mostly sunny and warm with highs near 82 degrees. South winds 5 to 10 mph. Partly cloudy and mild at night with lows near 68 degrees. Light south winds.

WEDNESDAY: Partly sunny with the chance for showers in the morning. Dry midday with the chance for showers and storms by Wednesday evening. Very warm and humid with highs near 88 degrees. Drier weather at night with partly cloudy skies. Lows near 66 degrees.
