Coldest feeling night ahead tonight ahead of a dwindling snow chance this weekend

It will feel like single digits once again into Thursday morning, with winds gusting up to 40 mph. Once the dangerous cold departs, a chance for accumulating snow returns this weekend but it looks to be "too cold to snow" again.

Feels-like temperatures did not break out of the teens on Wednesday, for a second straight day, with more frigid weather expected for a couple more days. Lows will dip back to about 20 degrees, feeling like single digits, possibly as low as 5 degrees.
Around 7 a.m., it will feel like between 5-10 degrees. Gusts between 30-40 mph will continue into Thursday. Watch out for any isolated icy spots from melted snow and puddles.
Highs should be able to crack 30 degrees Thursday afternoon, but stop short of freezing (32 degrees), and again feeling like the teens as gusts continue near 40 mph.
Another very cold night on tap for Thursday night, but a few degrees warmer than tonight. Friday morning wakeup feels-like temperatures will be closer to 15 degrees.
The wind won't quit until Friday night, but temperatures will rebound Friday afternoon to the upper 30s. Then all eyes turn to Saturday's storms, and how they will likely miss the borough. There will NOT be a blockbuster storm as the two storms will remain separate and not combine, or "phase" into a massive storm.
One storm will stay to the north, another to the south. The area likely ends up in a "snow hole" where little or no snow falls Saturday morning. At this point, expect a coating at best. Check back on news12.com for a snow accumulation update and follow Allan @AWxNYC on Instagram and X.
