A beautiful weekend is in the forecast across the island. A stray shower is possible late this evening or overnight, otherwise it will be a dry and sunny weekend with warm weather this afternoon and hot weather for Sunday. Even warmer weather is expected early next week with very few chances for rain in the 10 day forecast. The 10-day now includes Memorial Day weekend, which is trending cooler than average with a risk for rain.
Mostly sunny skies are expected today with highs in the 70s. A strong wind from the west south west will develop in the afternoon gusting up to 30 mph at times. A stray shower is possible after 11 p.m. tonight
Mainly sunny skies return for Sunday afternoon and temperatures will soar well into the 80s. This could approach daily high temperature records
The heat is less extreme on Monday because of a shift in the wind direction to the east. Interior areas could still reach 80-degrees, but most spots will be in the 70s with a mix of sun and clouds.
Temperatures could hit 90 degrees and challenge records. Skies are mainly sunny.
Temperatures can once again hit 90-degrees with humidity increasing it will feel even warmer. A stray thunderstorm is possible in the evening and overnight.
Temperatures will hover near 70-degrees through Memorial Day weekend.
