Another pleasant and breezy day in the Bronx before colder air arrives tomorrow

Morning clouds will give way to stellar sunshine and pleasant conditions this afternoon. The persistent Northerly wind continues through this afternoon with gusts up to 25 MPH. High temperatures will be slightly milder than yesterday in the mid to upper 60s. A weak cold front will move through the region tonight into tomorrow, finally pushing the offshore storm away from the region and leaving us with lighter winds, drier air and cooler temperatures into the weekend.
The storm offshore became Subtropical Storm Josephine yesterday and was named by the National Hurricane Center officially at 5 P.M. Josephine is unlikely to remain subtropical for long as the storm moves North and East away from the coast, it will encounter much cooler waters and stronger shear over the next 24 hours. Winds will subside on Friday as the storm pulls further away.
Friday through the weekend will be much cooler with highs in the 50s to low 60s and lows in the 30s. Frost advisories are likely north and west of New York City Friday night, Saturday morning and night and Sunday morning. The dry stretch continues into next week with more sunshine and seasonable Fall temperatures. As of Halloween, it looks dry and breezy. Stick with your News 12 team for weather updates.
