Stony Brook University closes on-campus housing amid coronavirus outbreak

The school says students who live within driving distance of campus need to vacate resident halls and campus apartments by 5 p.m. Thursday.

The coronavirus pandemic continues to impact students of all ages across Long Island.
Stony Brook University has announced it is closing its on-campus housing. The university made the announcement online.
The schools says students who live within driving distance of campus need to vacate resident halls and campus apartments by 5 p.m. Thursday. Everyone else has until 5 p.m. on Friday.
Room and meal plan costs will be prorated and applied as a refund or credit.
