Twin sisters Pam Pavone, of West Babylon, and Stephanie Romeo, of Bellmore, shared many things in their lives.
They went to the same college, had the same major, shared the same car and even shared a room.
Stephanie is married now with three young boys. Her sister Pam married her husband John in 2009, but found it difficult to conceive a child.
Pam says she and John tried fertility treatments for years, until doctors told them they might want to consider other options.
The sisters decided that Stephanie would serve as a surrogate for Pam and her husband John. They say it took about a year, but Stephanie became pregnant.
On Monday, Stephanie is scheduled to give birth to twins by cesarean section.
