A warning before you get behind the wheel today – police have just kicked off a speeding crackdown.
Starting today, state police are running a weeklong operation to catch drivers going too fast on our roadways.
Police say from January through May - a third of all deadly crashes involved unsafe speeds.
News 12 has also been told the highest number of speed-related crashes happen between noon and 6 p.m.
