Film and television stars alike are gearing up for tonight's 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards.

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are set to host the ceremony for a second time, after last year's show garnered high ratings and reviews. Part of their likeability could be that the duo write and improvise throughout the show, often surprising not only viewers, but the director as well.

Films "American Hustle" and "12 Years a Slave" lead the nominations, each with seven bids, including best picture, director and actor.

In the best dramatic film category, "Slave" is up against "Captain Phillips," "Rush," "Gravity" and "Philomena." In the best musical or comedy film category, "American Hustle" faces "Her," "Nebraska," "Inside Llewyn Davis" and "The Wolf of Wall Street."

In TV land, the best TV drama series nominees are "Breaking Bad," "Downton Abbey," "The Good Wife," "Masters of Sex" and Netflix's "House of Cards." The comedy contenders are "The Big Bang Theory," "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," "Modern Family" and "Parks and Recreation."

The Golden Globe Awards, voted on and presented by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, will air live on NBC at 8 p.m. EST.

Drivers out there, I will say one thing when people are going way below the speed limit, that's a problem that to me I think is you got to go with the flow. Exactly. Exactly. Today was such a beautiful day, wasn't it? And it felt warm. Normally the forties aren't warm, but after the cold snap, it was just really great and we have more mild weather ahead. But you can see on this map we have some changes too. Now, most of tomorrow is going to be dry, will kick your Friday off with some sunshine. But by the late afternoon and evening, we are tracking some rain. So after four o'clock, a batch of showers will come through moving pretty quick. And by 910 o'clock, the rain is out. It will be a dry start to the weekend, but we are going to see more clouds around the next few days. Tomorrow morning, 6 a.m. 42 it's not as cold. You see the clouds coming in two o'clock up to 50 degrees. There's that mild feel. And by six to eight o'clock in Long Beach, we have some showers. By 9, 10 o'clock, the rain is out. So in the morning, you see that clear weather that mild feel in the afternoon with the fifties but the clouds are moving in west southwest wind. Six o'clock, there's some of that rain from Hempstead to Bay Shore Fire Island light showers from Riverhead to Bridge Hampton. And by nine o'clock it's gone. So just a fast moving front rolling through at night, no problems and still mild for the weekend. So Saturday will be partly sunny to mostly cloudy. A little bit unsettled but no rain. Those scattered showers will return on Sunday looks like we might see some sprinkles in the morning. A heavier batch come through at night. But early next week it is turning drier. So fifties for the weekend showers ending Monday morning, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday next week looking pretty good. Cool with temps in the forties.
