Cancellations continued for travelers flying with Southwest Airlines.
The airline canceled another 2,300 flights on Thursday, including six at MacArthur Airport.
Only one Southwest flight took off from the Islip airport. It was heading to Baltimore.
Passengers getting ready to board were still concerned about whether the flight would take off.
"We're apprehensive still, seeing all the cancellations that have been going on with Southwest, so we're definitely apprehensive," said Laurie Fuchs, of Bohemia. "Are we really getting on this plane?"
Following over a week of delays and cancellations that affected thousands of people, Southwest Airlines expects to resume normal operations on Friday.
