The Southampton Town supervisor responded to Gov. Andrew Cuomo's concerns of businesses not following social distancing guidelines.

Southampton Town Supervisor Jay Schneiderman asked for more specifics on where in the Hamptons social distancing and other reopening protocols are being ignored.

Gov. Cuomo said that the state received thousands of complaints over the weekend about restaurants and bars not following social distancing guidelines and allowing drinking in the street.
However, Schneiderman disagrees, saying they have received very few complaints about violations.

He says, "If the governor is aware of something he needs to share with us so we can have our law-enforcement agencies investigate it."

Some residents told News 12 they saw numerous cases of apparent guideline violations.
