NYPD: Officers recover AK-47, loaded magazine from teen on NYC subway

Transit police on routine patrol in the Times Square subway recovered an AK-47 and a loaded magazine, the NYPD says.

Transit police on routine patrol in the Times Square subway recovered an AK-47 and a loaded magazine, the NYPD says.
Sources told News 12 that an officer spotted an 18-year-old man with a weapon outside of the turnstile of the Times Square A/C/E subway station.
NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea said the 18-year-old, who is from Ohio, ended up in handcuffs.
The suspect is identified as Saadiq Teague and he's facing multiple counts of criminal possession of a weapon, plus a charge for  drug paraphernalia.
