? FBI agents found human remains Monday after searching for days for a possible mob burial ground in East Farmingdale, according to sources.
A source close to the investigation told News 12 Long Island that investigators found what appeared to be a human body wrapped in a tarp, though they do not know who the remains belong to.
The discovery was made at around 4 p.m. and sources say others were called in to excavate and examine the findings.
The FBI employed many tactics to shield the scene from the media. However, Chopper 12 was able to get a bird?s eye view of investigators in and around a hole in the woods in East Farmingdale, where the body was reportedly found.
Investigators had been digging in several Farmingdale locations for days. They've reportedly been looking for the remains of three mob victims believed to have been killed in the 1990s.
