Jonathan Roth, the 22-year-old son of "missing boater" Raymond Roth, has been arrested in connection with his father's disappearance.
Raymond Roth, 47, was reported missing by his son on July 28 after swimming off Jones Beach Field 6. A massive search effort was launched to find him.
Raymond Roth was found days later after being pulled over by police for allegedly speeding down Interstate 95 in South Carolina.
Jonathan Roth is charged with insurance fraud, conspiracy to commit insurance fraud and filing a false police report.
Meanwhile, Evana Roth, the wife of Raymond Roth, filed today for an order of protection against her husband and said she would be divorcing him.
Evana Roth also says that her husband tripled his life insurance policy and emptied out the couple's bank accounts prior to his disappearance.
