Some Long Island hospitals received top marks from the Leapfrog Hospital Group.
Mather Hospital in Port Jefferson received an "A," based on medical errors, accidents, injuries and infections.
Five Long Island hospitals received a B, including St. Francis in Port Washington, Winthrop in Mineola, Northwell Health - Huntington Hospital, St. Catherine in Smithtown and St. Charles in Port Jefferson.
