If you're planning a beach day today - beaches in the Towns of Islip, Babylon and Huntington have been closed to bathing due to an excess amount of bacteria.

Bayport Beach, Sayville Marine Park Beach, Amityville Village Beach and Valley Grove Beach are all closed.

The beaches will reopen when further testing shows the bacteria has gone down to acceptable levels.
