The snow is beginning to taper off across Long Island. 

The snow will be light to moderate at times, and will continue until late in the afternoon. Most of the Island will likely see 1-3 inches of snow, although the snow may mix with rain along the East End and South Shore.

A winter weather advisory has been issued for Nassau and Suffolk through 5 p.m. 

It will be partly cloudy and cold with lows in the mid-20s, and Wednesday will see a mix of sun and clouds with chilly temps in the mid-30s.
